Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa
Enjoy a short flight into Tibet, offering a panorama of the snowy Himalayan ranges and snow-covered Tibetan plateau. If you took the train to Tibet, it emerges onto the high plateau by crossing the mighty Tanggula pass (5076m), getting you to Lhasa with beautiful sceneries along the route.
Meet your Tibetan guide at the Gonggar Airport or Lhasa Train Station.
Transfer to your hotel in Lhasa city. Lhasa airport is about 60 km, and it takes less than an hour along the recently built highway. From the train station, it is only 25 km, and it takes about half an hour.
Check into the hotel. Acclimatize and alleviate any jet lag for the rest of the day.
Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 2: Lhasa Tour
Visit the famous Potala Palace, the cardinal landmark of Tibet and a masterpiece of Tibetan architecture. It was home to the Dalai Lama and his government. Walking up the long steps is quite challenging, but it is worthwhile to leave your footsteps in the spiritual palace of the God of Compassion. The palace was listed in the UNESCO World Heritage lists in 1994.
Proceed to the Drepung Monastery which was once the world's largest monastery. It was the official residence of the Dalai Lama before the completion of the Potala Palace and has seen severe damage taken over the centuries.
Continue to acclimatize and alleviate jet lag for the rest of the day.
Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 3: Lhasa Excursion
