Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa (3650M)
When you arrive in Lhasa either by train or flight, your guide will greet you and take you to your hotel.
See the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Brahmaputra river (the Longest and largest river in Tibet) and Lhasa river.
After arriving in Lhasa, take a rest and acclimatize. Feel free to go check out Potala Square, where you will enjoy the fountain with different colour and get amazing photos of the Potala.
Stay overnight in Lhasa.

Day 2: Potala Palace, Jokhang temple, Barkhor Street
Today's tour will first bring you to the Potala Palace, the Winter Palace of the Dalai Lama. It has been used since the 7th Century by the 33rd great king of Tibet.
After lunch, head to Jokhang Temple, founded by the 33rd great king of Tibet in the 7th century, to promote the Buddhist religion. Inside, you can see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at the age of twelve, perhaps the single most venerated object in Tibet Buddhism.
Around the temple Barkhor street where you can Kora (circling the Barkor street) with pilgrims and locals and buy souvenirs.

Day 3: Drepung Monastry, Sera Monastery
In the morning, visit Drepung Monastery, one of the “Great Three” Gelug monasteries of Tibet and was founded in 1416 by Jamyang Choge, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples. Ganden palace was used as Dalai Lama’s Palace in the Drepung before moving to the Potala Palace.
Afternoon, visit the Sera Monastery; also one of the “three great” Gelug monasteries of Tibet and was founded in 1419 by Jamchen Chojey, one of the Tsongkhapa’s main disciples.
The highlight is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon.

Day 4: Lhasa to Ganden Monastery
Today, drive to the Ganden Monastery. It is about 60 kilometres east of Lhasa and is one of the “Great Three” Gelugpa monasteries of Tibet, founded by the Great Tsongkhapa in 1409. The main sight is Serdang, which contains the Tomb of Tsongkhapa. Ganden Monastery is situated on the Wangpori Mountain with an elevation of 3800m above sea level. It is fascinating to trek Lingkor (circle) around the monastery.
See the Great Tsongkapa’s meditation cave and many religious figure statues, and the beautiful view of Lhasa Valley.

Day 5: Depart from Lhasa
The guide will transfer you to the airport or train station and help you onboard.
