Itinerary

1. Day 1: Jinghong - Menghai

   • 8:00 AM: Drive by car for 40 minutes from Jinghong to Menghai.

   • Visit Menghai morning market with ethnic groups such as Dai, Bulang, Aini, and Lahu.

   • Drive to Xiding where you will have lunch. 

   • Start trekking, today’s journey is descending to a river for about one and half an hour, go through the jungle, one Aini village, tea, and sugarcane plantations. This trek will be for about 5 hours. 

   Dinner and stay one night in a Bulang village which has houses on stilts. This village is a typical Bulang community in Xishuangbanna. The history of the village goes back 1400 years including an old monastery. 

2. Day 2: Visit Bulang Village

   • Start trekking after breakfast. 

   • Visit a Pagoda that is older than 400 years

   • Descend down to a river for 2 and a half hours

   • Ascend to a Bulang village for 1 hour and have lunch in the village. 

   • Trek 1 hour to another village for dinner and one night.

3. Day 3: Bada - Jinghong

   • Walk down through the jungle for about 40 minutes to visit a waterfall, after breakfast, and then come back to the same village for lunch. 

   • Continue trekking for about 2 and half hours to Bada. The car is ready there to take you back to Jinghong. This day is about 4 hours of trekking.
