Hanging Temple and Hengshan Mountain
- Meet your driver in the lobby of your Beijing City hotel and be transferred to the train station to enjoy a 2-hour bullet train ride to Datong. Upon arrival, your local tour guide will greet you at the train station, then head directly to - Hanging Temple.
- During the tour, your tour guide will offer detailed stories and histories. Feel free to ask questions if you have any. The hanging temple is the only existing temple hosting worship for the Taoists, Confucians and Buddhists. Built-in 491 A.D., Hanging Temple is an architectural wonder because it hangs on the west cliff of Jinxia Gorge, more than 50 metres above the ground.
- Next, stop at a local restaurant for a quick lunch. Then heading directly to Hengshan. You will take the cable car to reach the mountain to save time. Then follow your tour guide to explore the essence of Mountain Hengshan. Hengshan Mountain comprises 72 peaks and runs 150 kilometres in extend, and it possesses the reputation of Buddhism and Taoist culture of China. Hengshan Mountain leads the five sacred mountains by its gracefulness.
- After the tour, you will be transferred back to Datong railway station and return to Beijing. Your driver will pick you up from the train station, and you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
