Itinerary
-
Valparaíso
- Meet your tour guide upon arrival and start your guided tour.
- Begin at Sotomayor Square, where you can see important monuments and old buildings with your Valparaiso tour guide. Then, take an old funicular made in 1902 to arrive at the Yugoslavian Promenade, with a spectacular view of the bay and port of Valparaíso.
- Start walking along Alegre and Concepción Hills. Try to wear comfortable shoes, because we will walk on old cobblestones and go up many steps. See old British architecture and old houses made in 1887 and learn about the immigrants who arrived at the port by the middle of the 19th century. A good coffee awaits you.
- Visit the picturesque Galvez passageway and see beautiful street art and murals made by Chilean and foreign artists. If we are lucky, we will talk with one of these artists and learn something about the process of muralism.
- In the Atkinson Promenade, you will realise how it was to live on a hill and see the three cemeteries in the middle of the city.
- Do you like churches? Here we have old ones, like the Anglican church made in 1858 or the Lutheran church of 1897.
- Go up the famous Piano stairs and see the lovely mural that says, "We are not hippies. We are happy."
