Hike Desolation Pass
- We will leave early in the morning from the hotel towards the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park to the La Picada area along the north face of the Osorno volcano (2,652 m). From there, we will begin 10-kilometre trek around the volcano from the Llanquihue Lake basin to the Todos Los Santos Lake basin passing through the Desolación pass at 1096 meters above sea level. Weather permitting, the views on this hike are magnificent. The imposing Tronador Mountain, La Picada Mountain, the Andes mountain and the Todos Los Santos lake are just some of the observable icons. And in turn, the journey allows us to fully understand the geological formation of the territory.
- We will have a picnic on the way and then continue with our walk, this time descending towards Todos Los Santos lake, where a boat will be waiting for us to continue our journey by water.
- After 20 minutes of navigation, we will arrive at the Petrohue area on the west edge of Todos Los Santos Lake.
- In Petrohue, our driver awaits us to return to Puerto Varas.
