The Avarua Historical Walking tour is a 1½ hour leisurely guided walk through the historical parts of Avarua's downtown area. Our knowledgeable guide conducts the tour, who will trace the Cook Islands' history from the Polynesian settlement of Rarotonga to the discovery and colonization by the New Zealand administration, the missionaries and through to independence.
