Description
Visit pyramid, “El Castillo” (the castle) at an ancient Mayan archaeological site which was the major ceremonial center during the classic period of the empire. Located in the extreme western part of the Cayo District and overlooking the Mopan River, it sits on an impressive hilltop.

Drive to Xunantunich Archeological Site
Pick-up at 8:00 AM-8:30 AM from the cruise ship terminal, water taxi, municipal airport, or your hotel.
Go on a 2-hour drive to the site.
Spend 1 1/2 hour tour on the site.
Stop for lunch.
Proceed for 2-hour drive back to Belize City.
