Day by day

The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Maun

Arrival at Maun Airport (MUB). Clients will be met by a safari representative at Maun Airport and transferred to a lodge or hotel, where they will be staying at their own expense.
A briefing about the trip will be given before parting ways and arranging pick-up for the following morning.
Relax at the lodge.
Later in the evening, dinner will be served at the client's own expense.

Day 02

Into Moremi Game Reserve

Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will be picked up from the lodge by a Botswana guide to begin the journey to Moremi Game Reserve, South Gate, which is about a three-hour drive from Maun. Moremi Game Reserve is situated in the central and eastern part of the Okavango. The reserve is widely considered the finest wildlife reserve in Africa, with a diversity of habitats combining acacia and mopane woodlands with floodplains and lagoons. It is spectacular for game viewing and bird watching, including all major naturally occurring herbivore and carnivore species and over 4,000 species of birds.
Upon arrival at Moremi Game Reserve, game viewing will begin.
After lunch, game viewing continues, and before sunset, you will be taken back to the campsite, where you will have time to refresh, enjoy dinner, and spend the night under a canvas tent.

Day 03

Full Day of Wildlife Viewing in Moremi

Wake up at around 06:00 for a light breakfast, then head out on a game drive. The drives will take you to some of the park's most beautiful areas, such as Third Bridge, Bodumatau, and Dead Tree Island. Game is plentiful in these areas. Sightings include elephant, buffalo, giraffe, lion, hyena, jackal, and many different antelopes, including red lechwe and the shy sitatunga, a web-footed antelope perfectly adapted to life in the swamps. Wild dogs, whose numbers are rapidly dwindling elsewhere, are regularly sighted in the Moremi Game Reserve.
After lunch, game viewing continues, and before sunset, guests will be taken back to the campsite, where they will have time to refresh, have dinner, and spend another night under canvas tents.

Day 04

Sunrise and Return to Maun

After enjoying a stunning sunrise, soaking up the peace and serenity of the Moremi Game Reserve, and having a light breakfast, the camp crew will break camp before departing for Maun.
You will arrive before lunch at your accommodation in Maun, from where you will be picked up the next day and transferred to Maun Airport (MUB) for your flight back home.
