- Meet your guide at the agreed-upon location.
- Try Bhutanese rice, which comes in red and white varieties, either boiled or steamed.
- Savour on healthy carbs, which can be found in buckwheat and maize.
- Discover the famous Bhutanese chilli, a native speciality that complements every dish.
- Taste Ema Datsi, the national dish of Bhutan, a finger-licking good mix of chilli and cheese.
- Eat some momos, a Tibetan-style dumpling, stuffed with pork, beef or cabbages and cheese.
- Try authentic Phaksha Paa, pork cooked with red chilli and mostly radish.
- Enjoy Jasha Maru, a soupy dish comprising minced chicken, tomatoes and other ingredients, which is usually served with rice.
- Have Suja (butter tea), the most popular beverage.
- You can also try Ara, a locally brewed rice/maize alcoholic drink.
- Visit Centenary Farmers Market in Thimpu, where vendors from all over Bhutan arrive on Thursday and stay on until Sunday night to sell their crops.
