Botanical Garden Tour

- Explore the Botanical Garden, a unique green space, inaugurated in 1808 by Dom João VI, the then king of Brazil. With a total area of 137 hectares and 54 hectares of cultivated area, the park is recognised as a living museum with about 9,000 plant species worldwide.
- Watch the imperial palms and giant Amazonian water lilies. From the elegantly landscaped Parque Lage nearby, wooded trails lead up from Corcovado Mountain to the Christ the Redeemer statue and Tijuca National Park's tropical forest.
