Tour with Jose

I met Jose through TourHQ and arrange a tour of the historic areas of São Luis at short notice, just the evening prior. He arrived on time and showed me around the majority of what was accessible. I was happy with the guidance and explanations. He speaks English and obviously Portuguese. I would recommend him to others I know if they were visiting the city. 

Excellent guide with good English, flexible, customer-oriented and great sense of humor

Jose was very flexible in tailoring my itinerary perfectly - due to my very short time constraints and the rains which came at unpredictable times, he amended my itinerary so that I could enjoy the maximum amount of time in Lencois Maranhenses Park.   He organized a flight for me over the park as well, which was a highlight.   I enjoyed the ride into the park - crossing rivers, wheeling through sandy trails, and hiking up huge dunes.   Jose was knowledgeable about the area, good at reading customer needs, and adjusting itinerary and schedule accordingly.   He also communicated with me before I even arrived in Brazil and explained to me the process for payment, accommodation, and so on.
