- Visit the Statue of Christ the Redeemer (Corcovado Mountain), built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Brazilian Independence in 1922. It was recently named one of the Seven Wonders of the Contemporary World'. Reach the summit of Corcovado mountain by train that crosses the Tijuca Forest.
- Head to the Botanical Garden, founded in 1808 by the Portuguese King D. Joao VI, is considered one of the most beautiful botanical gardens globally.
Eat lunch in a restaurant in Copacabana (optional).
Go to the Casa Daros Museum, which hosts the best contemporary art from Latin America.
