Itinerary

1. Day 1: Arrival in Bujumbura

   • Meet our professional guide at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Bujumbura for a pre-briefing of the hall tour.

2. Day 2: Bujumbura City Tour

   • Indulge in a city tour of the economic capital, Bujumbura, for around 4 hours from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m.
   • Return to the hotel for lunch and overnight.

3. Day 3: Tea plantations Processing - Gishora Drum Sanctuary

   • After breakfast, we will leave the hotel at 7:00 a.m. to drive 3 hours to reach Kayanza Province to visit the Teza tea factory to get information about tea processing and explore tea plantations.
   • After that, we will go towards the political capital (Gitega), where we will visit the Gishora Drum Sanctuary to entertain Burundi's culture.

   Overnight in Gitega.

4. Day 4: Nyakazu Faults and Karera & Mwishanga Waterfalls

   • After breakfast at 7:00 a.m., we will leave the hotel to visit two attractions in Rutana Province, which are Nyakazu Faults and Karera & Mwishanga Waterfall.
   • Stop at Sunstone Beach Resort to spend a night.

5. Day 5: Kigwena Natural Reserve

   • After breakfast, we will leave the hotel at 7:00 a.m. to visit Kigwena Natural Reserve, where we will see the different species of plants, birds, primates, and other wild animals hosted in that rainforest.
   • Get a chance to interact with real rural people surrounding the forest.
   • Come back to the hotel to have lunch.
   • In the afternoon, leave the hotel at 3:00 p.m. to return to spend a night in Bujumbura to prepare for your departure flight.
