1. Shahdag Tour with Candy Canes/Guide

   Morning: Breakfast & Departure from Baku

   • 7:00 AM: Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel in Baku. Take in the morning views of the city and prepare for a scenic adventure to the mountains.
   • 8:00 AM: Departure from Baku to head north, towards the picturesque mountains and cultural landmarks of Azerbaijan.

   Stop 1: Candy Cane Mountains

   • 10:00 AM: Arrive at the stunning *Candy Cane Mountains*, known for their unique striped, pinkish patterns that give them their name. These surreal hills are naturally formed and display layered red and white bands due to iron compounds and mineral salts in the soil. You’ll have the opportunity to walk around, take photos, and enjoy the surreal landscape.

   Stop 2: Laza Village, Gusar Region

   • 11:30 AM: Arrive at *Laza village*, a beautiful, secluded mountain village in the Gusar region. Known for its quaint charm and traditional Caucasian culture, Laza is home to the Lezgi people and offers a glimpse into local life in the mountains. Enjoy a short tour of the village, interact with locals, and perhaps taste some local delicacies.

   Stop 3: Laza Waterfall

   • 2:30 PM: Take a short hike to the scenic Laza Waterfall, nestled in the lush greenery of the mountains. Surrounded by impressive cliffs and valleys, this waterfall is a popular spot for visitors and provides a refreshing atmosphere. Spend some time taking photos, appreciating the natural beauty, and relaxing by the waterfall.

   Afternoon: Shahdag Mountain Resort and Coaster Adventure

   • 1:30 PM: Head to Shahdag Mountain Resort, the largest mountain resort in Azerbaijan, for lunch (optional at resort cafes or pre-arranged) and an exploration of the resort’s amenities. 
   • Shahdag Coaster: Thrill-seekers can enjoy the Shahdag Coaster, a high-speed toboggan-style ride that descends down the mountainside, providing both excitement and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
   • Resort Activities: Enjoy other activities such as hiking trails, horseback riding, mountain biking, and scenic chair lifts, depending on the season. The resort offers a wide range of options for all ages and interests, with plenty of options for both relaxation and adventure.

   Evening: Return Journey to Baku

   • 5:00 PM: Begin the scenic drive back to Baku, watching the sun set over the mountains as you relax after an eventful day in the highlands.
   • 7:30 PM: Arrive back in Baku and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay, with a wealth of memories from your mountain excursion.
