Description

Travel to the northern Azerbaijan region to sightsee the Palace of Shaki Khans (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Albanian Church of Kish (inactive 12th or 13th-century), Caravanserai, and Shaki Museum. On the way, you still stop by the Gabala city of Azerbaijan.

Itinerary

Baku, Qabala & Shaki
- Pick up from your hotel by your Azerbaijani tour guide. Then, begin the tour and stop at Gabala (Qabala).
- After Gabala, go to the Palace of Shaki Khans and take some awesome photos.
- Explore the Albanian Church of Kish. The Church of Kish, also known as the Church of Saint Elishe, is an inactive 12th or 13th-century Caucasian Albanian church located in the village of Kiş approximately 5 km north of Shaki.
- See the Caravanserai. Swift development of trade in the Middle Ages enhanced the importance of caravanserai existing in Azerbaijan's territory and favoured the construction of new ones. Generally, caravanserai was a built-in form of castles with one gate, closing of which made them impregnable during dangerous incidents.
