Description
The Habsburg Emperors came to Feldkirch during or after particular historical events. The walking tour will bring us to natural surroundings and architectural gems. We start at the castle of Schattenburg, where the Habsburg bailiffs resided. Walking down the street to the centre, we follow the traces of the presence of emperor Maximilian I of Habsburg, continue with the places where Franz I passed by and finish the visit near the ex-college and convent of the Jesuits, where we will remember some more stays of the Habsburg emperors.

Guided Tour Through the Heart of Town
- Start the tour in the historical center of the town.
- Walk to the Margarethenkapf, with a difference in altitude of 50 meters, providing a beautiful view over the town, the river Ill, and the nearby mountains.
- Return to the medieval part of town.
- Admire the architecture of Jugendstil in some buildings.
- Finish the tour near the Conservatory of Music.
