Itinerary

Day 1: Yerevan - Khor Virap-Areni- Noravank
Begin the journey from Yerevan by reaching Khor Virap Monastery, located in Ararat province, close to the Armeni-Turkey border. It is also known as the best place to view Mt. Ararat.
Visit Areni Winery with your Armenian tour guide and explore a thousand-year-long winemaking tradition.
Explore Bird՛s cave, where the oldest shoe ( 5000 years old) was found during excavations.
Stop by the Noravank Monastery, founded in the 13th century and located in a narrow, deep gorge made by the Amaghu river. Huge red cliff surroundings impart a mysterious look to the monastery.
Return to Yerevan.

Day 2: Tsaghkadzor - Sevan - Dilijan - Yerevan
Head to Kecharis Monastery in Tsaghkadzor city.
Take the ropeway and admire the picturesque nature above the forests. If you take all the five stations, you will get to 2819 m above sea level and have a fantastic view of the surroundings.
Proceed to Sevan Lake, the biggest lake in the Caucasus. It never loses its charm all year round and is regarded as the pride of the Armenian people.
Besides the lake, visit Sevanavank Medieval Monastery, located in a narrow peninsula of the lake.
Proceed to Dilijan city, the most popular resort center with lush green forests in Armenia.
Transfer to Haghartsin Monastery of the medieval period located deep in the forest. The road to Haghartsin monastery looks like an episode from a fairy tale as it houses giant overlapping trees on each side of the road.
End your trip and return to Yerevan.
