Description
Discover the history of the Balkan, starting in Albania. You will visit ten historic cities in 4 Balkan countries, namely Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia. You will visit Tirana, the official capital city of Albania, and Shkodër, the official capital city of Northern Albania. Continue to Budva, a UNESCO city, and Kotor, both in Montenegro. Thereafter, you will visit Trebinje, Blagaj, Mostar, Sarajevo, and Konjic in Bosnia & Herzegovina, finally ending with Belgrade, Serbia.
Itinerary

Day-1: Tirana (Albania)
- Transfer from the airport to your hotel.
- Visit the “Skanderberg Square” (the main square in Tirana) with the Skanderberg Statue.
- See “Ethem Bey” mosque (the only historical mosque in Tirana), the “Enver Hoxha” pyramid, the Peace Bell, the building of the historical museum of Tirana, and a preserved bunker (in one of the bunkers there is a museum about the Vic).

Day-2: Shkodër (Albania)
- Enjoy breakfast in Tirana.
- In the morning, we drive to Shkoder, the most important city in northern Albania, located on a beautiful plain in front of the largest lake in the Balkans that bears the name of the city and with the Albanian Alps as a backdrop.
- We will take a walking tour in "Gjuhadol", a recently renovated pedestrian area with Italian and Austrian architectural influences, testimony to the historical links of this city with these two countries.
- Then we will visit the Marubi Museum (master photographer from the late 19th century), which houses an exhibition of old photographs. He took the first photograph in the Balkans in 1856. Shkoder is the only Illyrian capital mentioned in the 3rd-2nd centuries BC.
- By visiting Rozafa Castle, we will not only experience the supremacy the Illyrians would have felt over their enemies standing in such an imposing castle but also admire stunning 360-degree views.
- After this photo opportunity, we will have lunch at "Mrizi i Zanave" agritourism between Shkoder and Lezhe. We will taste some delicacies from this region, such as pickles, local cheeses, bio olive oil, various types of bread, etc., in its rustic form; the main speciality of the restaurant is young kid meat made in a very traditional way.

Day-3: Budva (Montenegro)
- Enjoy breakfast in Shkoder.
- Head out for a full-day tour of Budva (part of the UNESCO family). Pay also a visit to the area of Sveti Stefan.

Day 4: Kotor (Montenegro)
- Enjoy breakfast in Budva and head for a day tour in Kotor.

Day-5: Trebinje, Blagaj, Mostar (Bosnia & Herzogovina)
- Have breakfast in Kotor.
- On the way to Mostar, we will visit Blagaj.
- Enjoy the city tour of Mostar.
- Visit the Strati Most or the Most bridge, rebuilt in the 16th century.

Day-6: Sarajevo, Konjic (Bosnia & Herzegovina)
- Have breakfast in Mostar.
- Go for a city tour of Sarajevo. Visit the Bascarsija (the historical Turkish market), Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque (Ottoman mosque from the 16th century), the Latin Bridge/ The Assassination Bridge (Ottoman-era stone bridge near the site of Archduke Franz Ferdinand’s 1914 assassination), the Sebilj Monument (famous 18th-century wooden fountain), the “Sacred Heart” Cathedral (Gothic cathedral from the 19th century), the Sarajevo city hall, the Abandoned Bobsleigh Track (built-in 1984 for the Winter Olimpic games in Former Yugoslavia). The country opened its doors to the international community to celebrate sport after the breakup of Yugoslavia; during the long Sarajevo siege, the bobsleigh track was used as a base for the artillery.
- Check out the Tunnel of Hope (a military museum at the site of a storied Bosnian War–era underground tunnel). During your free time in Sarajevo, you can enter the Museum of Sarajevo 1878–1918 (a compact museum dedicated to historical events in Sarajevo during the Austro-Hungarian period), the War Childhood Museum (a prominent museum featuring exhibits & videos on the children who lived through the Bosnian War.) and the Museum of Crimes Against Humanity and Genocide.

Day-7: Belgrade (Serbia)
- Have breakfast in Sarajevo.
- Enjoy a city tour of Belgrade.
- Visit the Belgrade fortress “Kalemegdan” (an enduring fortress built in 535 BCE) with a view of the Sava and Danube rivers.
- See the Pobednik Monument (monument inside the Belgrade fortress), Church of the Holy Mother of God/Crkva Ruzica (Serbian Orthodox church located inside the Belgrade fortress), the “Knez Mihaylova” pedestrian street, Sava cathedral (the biggest Orthodox cathedral in the Balkans ), the Republic Square, the National Assembly, the bombed buildings.
- Have some free time in Belgrade. During your free time, you can take a walk around the Belgrade waterfront or enter some of the museums in Belgrade: Nikola Tesla Museum, The History Museum of Serbia, etc.
Overnight stay in Belgrade.

Day-8: Airport Nikola Tesla Belgrade (Serbia)
- Have breakfast in Belgrade.
- After breakfast, transfer to the airport.
