Description
During the tour, in the so-called "The ring" (Unaza), we will see the most interesting objects built during the time of King Zog, from Florentine architects, but also those of Italian fascism. Starting the Tour from the Artificial Lake to Sami Frashëri street (marked on the map of Tirana: Bikes for rent/Biçikleta me qera) towards the main boulevard, Martyrs of the Nation, where we will see the Academy of Arts, the Polytechnic University or the Rectorate/Archaeological Museum, works realized after the invasion of Albania in 1939. Further, our journey will go towards the Palace of Congresses and in front of the former headquarters of the Russian Embassy, today the Presidency. We will walk along Dëshmorët e Kombit boulevard, where we will see from the left the Post Block Monument and the famous bunkers, from the right the Italian Logotenence Offices, today the Prime Minister's Office, and again from the right the former Enver Hoxha Museum, today the Multimedia Center or Pyramid. Further over the bridge that holds the record book, and a little further on, the famous former Dajti Hotel. We will go to the center of Tirana, where we will see the Architectural Ensemble of the Ministries, as well as all the facilities located in Skënderbej Square. With the journey towards Zog I Boulevard. We will walk to the former train station and make an eclipse-shaped journey to the entrance of the Artificial Lake of Tirana, where we will then follow a tour around the Lake built in 1965. Return to rented bikes delivered. The entire trip will be more than 10 kilometres, while the greater part will pass in the bicycle lane.
