Itinerary

1. Day 1: Tirana

   • Arrival at Tirana Airport. (preferably arrival time early in the morning). 
   • Drive from Tirana airport to the city.
   • Walking tour of Tirana, presenting its history, changes, and development over time.
   • Visit the Bunk'art 2 - one of the anti-atomic bunkers built during communism. Transformed nowadays into a museum that shows the Albanian people's reality, achievements and suffering during that period.
   • Traditional lunch.
   • Check in at the hotel - free time for a personal exploration of the city.

2. Day 2: Berat

   Berat - the city of the 1001 windows, a UNESCO site.

   • Drive through the Dumrea region, enjoying the beauty of Albanian nature, agriculture and the lakes.
   • Arrival in Berat - Visit the castle and the Onufri Museum, which is dedicated to Byzantine art and iconography in Albania.
   • Traditional lunch at a local restaurant.
   • Visit the lower part of the Town: Mangalem neighborhood and Gorica Bridge.
   • Drive to Gjirokaster.
   • Check in at the hotel, suggestions about dinner.

3. Day 3: Gjiorkaster

   Gjirokaster - The Ottoman city of Stone. A UNESCO site.

   • Visit the Argjiro castle, one of the biggest and most well-preserved castles in Albania, which includes the biggest gun museum of WWI and WWII.
   • Visit Skenduli House. Learn more about local life and traditions in one of the oldest houses that belong to 1700.
   • Traditional lunch. Free afternoon to explore personally the grand Bazaar and suggestions for dinner.
   • Overnight in Gjirokaster.

4. Day 4: Sarandë - Butrint

   • Drive from Gjirokaster to Butrint.
   • Drive through the wild nature, high mountains, and old caravan paths area to reach Butrint - the ancient city. One of the most important archaeological sites in the south of Albania, where in layers, it is to distinguish the development of the city from the 6th century B.C. to the 18th century.
   • Lunch in Sarandë.
   • A short walking tour will present the history of the town. Then free time in the city that is well known as one of the 10 top vacation destinations in Albania. Known as the city of the 300 days of sun per year.

   Overnight in Sarandë. Check in at the hotel. Suggestions for dinner.

5. Day 5: Transfer to Tirana Airport

   • Transfer day - drive to Tirana airport.
