Description
Explore the oldest and the most exciting parts of Tirana, starting from the Mosaic of the National Museum on Skanderbeg Square and Et'hem Bey Mosque. Cross the bridge on Lana River to arrive at the 'Tirana Pyramid' and see the Palace of Congresses and the Presidential building. Visit Mother Teresa Square, the Archaeological Museum and the Art Academy and the Polytechnic University of Tirana.

- Depart from the city center at Clock Tower.
- Visit the mosaic of the National Museum on Skanderbeg Square, the Et’hem Bey Mosque towards the elegant government buildings at the end of the square, housing various ministries (built in the 1930s during the rule of King Zog), Fine Arts Gallery, Hotel Dajti, and Rinia Park.
- Walk across the wide streets (Bulevardi Zhan D’Ark; Bulevardi Bajram Curri) and cross Lana River’s bridge (a photo stop) to arrive at the ‘Pyramid’.
- Stop at the Prime Minister’s Building (the ex-Communist Party headquarters), and see the parliamentary offices in the front.
- Go beyond Rruga Ismail Qemali to find Hotel Rogner Europapark, and further the Palace of Congresses, which was built for Party congresses during the communist regime in Albania (nowadays the Palace hosts concerts, festivals and fairs).
- Find the Presidential Building, which was the Soviet embassy until 1961.
- Continue to the end of the main boulevard and see the “Mother Teresa” Square, named to honour the most famous Albanian nun of the 20th century.
- Visit around this square the Archaeological Museum, the Art Academy and Polytechnic University.
- End the tour at Polytechnic University.
