Itinerary

1. Day 1 : Arrival in Tirana

   • Start the discovery of Albania with a visit to the capital, Tirana. 
   • Land in Tirana, at the International Tirana Airport “Mother Theresa”. 
   • Meet the staff of the agency and head to the hotel to stay the first night.
   • Visit the National Museum located on Skanderbeg Square, which will be a nice introduction to the rich Albanian history.
   • See the mosque "Et'hem Bey", which has been preserved even during the communist era for its historical value, the opera, the clock tower, and the palace of culture. 
   • Discover the superb Orthodox Cathedral.

2. Day 2 : Lake of Koman to Valley of Valbona

   Tirane – Koman, 2h 45min

   • Leave early (5:30 a.m.) in the morning towards the Albanian Alps in the Valbona valley. 
   • Cross the Koman lake by ferry. This trip takes about two and a half to three hours and have the opportunity to see impressive landscapes that are similar to the fjords in Scandinavia.
   • See the other side of the lake that is Valbona village. 
   • Arrive in Valbona, and visit the region to meet with residents of a village.
   • Have dinner and spend the night.

3. Day 3 : Full day at Valbone

   • Hike for 5-6 hours and rest in Valbona. The ascent of the Rama folds at an altitude of 1800 m. During this tour of about three to four hours in the middle of the heart of the Albanian Alps, a breathtaking view of the country awaits us. 
   • Reach the destination, and fresh treats made in the village of Valbona awaits as a reward for the efforts. 
   • Enjoy the free afternoon and explore the area.

4. Day 4 : Valbona to Theth

   Valbonne – Theth, 6- 7 h (hike)

   • Hike from Valbona to Theth, and walk through the Valbona valley. The hike itself takes about 6-7 hours and it gives a beautiful view that resembles a postcard. 

   Hiking through the Valbona Valley is accompanied by a local guide and luggage is carried by mules.

5. Day 5 : Explore Theth

   • Enjoy the beautiful mountain landscapes that continue on the hike to Theth. 
   • See the stone houses in small villages and the high towers of the surrounding area.
   • Pass through gorges or the waterfalls of Theth.

   The waterfall and its surroundings are also known as the “blue eye”.

6. Day 6 : Theth to Circle's Cave

   • Move towards the Cave of the Circle (Shpella e rratheve in Albanian), which is located in the Dukagjini Valley and is hidden behind several meadows that overlook the entire valley of the Shala River.
   • Start the hike to the village of Theth and after going through the tower houses ascend to the stables (Stane in Albanian).

7. Day 7 : Theth – Shkoder – Tirane

   • Drive to Shkodra, on the border with Montenegro. This city is the symbol of tolerance and religious coexistence in Albania. 
   • See the two mosques, an Orthodox church, and a Catholic cathedral enriched in the cityscape. 
   • Go on a visit to the Marubi photo studio, which houses the largest photo collection in the Balkans. This photo collection gives a valuable overview of past ways of life in Albania. 
   • Visit the castle of Rozafa, the bridge of Mesi.
   • Head to the capital, Tirana. During the day have the opportunity to discover a city known for its colorful buildings and the successful coexistence between the religions.
   • In the evening move to the Blok, where young Tirana celebrates its nightlife. In times of dictatorship only accessible to the communist nomenclature/society, the Blok is now the ideal place to spend an exciting night in Albania.
   • Relax in one of the numerous bars in the district and get to know about modern Albania.

8. Day 8 : Departure

   • Transfer to the airport.
