Cultural Tour of Libohove & Labove E Kryqit
- Departure from Saranda: 8.30 a.m.
- Libohova is a small city located to the southeast of Gjirokastër, under Bureto Mountain, bordered by the Drino River. Upon arriving, some free time to sip a coffee in the most beautiful and attractive spot of the city under the Platanus orientalis, which is 32 m high, has a trunk diameter of 220 cm, trunk circumference of 692 cm, crown circumference of 80 cm, and age 220 years.
- Then we continue to visit the castle of Shanisha, built by his brother Ali Pashe Tepelena, who was a very important and influential figure of the 19th century, after a walking tour of the city center.
- Then we transfer to Labova e Kryqit, which is a small village with an interesting story and its own symbol Labova e Kryqit Church- Dormitions of Saint Mary, is a good example of the 13th century with a unique architectural style. This church had a gold cross on top with pieces of wood where Jesus Christ was crucified.
- A short walk to the village.
