I highly recommend Gabriela. Knows a lot of the area, the history and best times and roads to visit the most important places in Montevideo.

Our group of 9 just spent 2 days with Gabriela for tours of both Punta del Este and Montevideo. Our plans changed at the last minute because our ship was unable to dock in Punta due to bad weather. Instead, we docked in Montevideo where she was able to secure a van large enough for all of us for the 2 hour drive to Punta. Even though we didn't get off the ship until after 12pm, she was at the dock on time and planned an excellent day. Since we now going to overnight in Montevideo (originally we were only going to be in both Punta and Montevideo for the day each), she gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. The next day she showed us around the beautiful city of Montevideo. Her knowledge of both cities is very impressive as is her chearful deamenor. Highly recommend her!!
