I am a full time resident of Anchorage which is the largest city and hub of the state.Anchorage is situated perfectly to serve as a base camp for exploring the many sights and activities Alaska has to offer.Anchorage is a fairly cosmopolitan city with world class restaurants, microbreweries, local art galleries, and museums. At the same time, a short 15 minute drive will bring you to the outskirts of the vast Alaskan wilderness.
I have been guiding tours of all sorts for over 12 years now.I have experienece guiding tours ranging from multi-day wilderness excursions to half day city tours around Anchorage.I am just as comfortable exploring the backcountry as I am enjoying a nice dinner out on the town. This versatility allows me to offer a wide range of experiences on my tours.I pride myself on being able to offer tours that are custom tailored to a particular groups interests. As a guide I also have a very relaxed style. We Alaskans like to take our time and enjoy life.My tours reflect this lifestyle.
In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities of all kinds. In the summer amongst other things, I love to hike, mountain bike, and play frisbee golf.Yes, frisbee golf! In the winter, I love to snowboard, snowshoe, cross-country ski, and watch the northern lights.I also love to do crosswords.I am a New York Times crossword puzzle fanatic.I enjoy socializing around town as well as enjoying time spent to myself on the trail.
Well, enough about me.I look forward to meeting you and sharing experiences together in the Last Frontier!
