Batumi

Complete with a beautiful setting on the edge of the Black Sea, a shimmering corniche of new high-rises that mixes with an enchanting old town and some excellent tourHQ guides, Batumi is a fine spot to explore this year.

Batumi

Batumi, located on the Black Sea, is unarguably one of the most beautiful cities of Georgia. A popular seaside resort during the day one can spend hours sunbathing and swimming, but come nighttime the beachfront clubs come alive with party revelers and casinos, earning the city the epithet of  “Las Vegas of the Black Sea”.
Batumi’s interesting historical past has conditioned its architectural diversity lending its it’s unique character. Go on a walking tour of the Old City with a Batumi Tour Guide to see beautiful buildings with intricate decorations of chimeras, lions and other mythical creatures, and of course the “Boy with a Pipe” at Gorgasili Street.
Contemporary architecture has become more popular as Batumi gained prominence as a tourist town, and many new hotels and buildings create a varied skyline in the city. The Batumi Boulevard, one of the longest seaside Boulevards in the world provides for a lovely walk interspersed with fountains, modern sculptures, kids attractions and cafes.
The natural and architectural beauty of this lovely city is further accentuated by the warmth and hospitality of its’ people. And what better way to express a warm welcome than good food! Let your nose guide you into one of the numerous coffee workshops to help yourself to a cup of aromatic black coffee prepared on heated sand. The Ajarian as well as Asian cuisine help create a diverse array; don’t miss the boat shaped Ajarian Khachapuri during your stay at Batumi!
