Itinerary

1. Aswan

   • Meet and greet your Egypt tour guide at the meeting point in Aswan and proceed for your check-in on the boat.

   • Visit Philae - Isis Temple in the afternoon. The temple stood on Philae Island south of Aswan and after the construction of the High Dam, it remained submerged for several months in a year. It was moved to the neighbouring island of Agilika in 1980.

   • Visit the High Dam which is more than 3800 meters long and 111 meters high. Its construction was initiated by president Nasser. 

2. KOM OMBO

   • You have the morning to yourself, if you want to visit Abu Simbel temples (optional, costs extra), you can travel in the early hours to come back to the boat by noon. 

   • Sail towards Kom Ombo. 

   • Visit the Kom Ombo Temple: Temple of the ancient crocodile god Sobek. The double temple of Sobek and Horus was half-covered by sand for a long time. In 1893 it was uncovered and displayed. There were hundreds of crocodile mummies found in the area.

   • Proceed to sail towards Edfu. 

3. EDFU - luxor

   • Have a fulfilling breakfast on-board and proceed for your sightseeing.  

   • Visit the Edfu temple which until 1860 was hidden under sand and silt from the Nile before Francois Marriette uncovered it.

   • Sail towards Luxor.

   • Visit the Luxor temple on the East Bank of Nile. Luxor Temple, built by Amenophis III and Ramses II was used by Alexander the Great as well. At the entrance, you can see a part of the Alley of the Sphinx, which connected the Luxor temple with the Karnak temple for the most important religious festival of the year.

   • Stay overnight in Luxor. Possibility to visit Sound and Light Show in Karnak temple (optional, surcharge).

4. LUXOR

   • Visit the Karnak temple with a gorgeous hypostyle hall and 134 pylons built by Seti I and Ramses II. The biggest temple of Egypt, built over 2,000 years.

   • Drop anchor at the West Bank of Luxor.

   • Proceed to Valley of the Kings – the place where ancient Egyptians laid their kings to rest. The place which supposed to be hidden and where the amazing treasures were found in the tomb of pharaoh Tutankhamun

   • Step inside Hatshepsut temple- the landmark of Luxor, a temple of the unique female pharaoh of the country

   • Be impressed by the statues of Amenophis III at Colossi of Memnon, which protected the huge temple. Unfortunately, there is nothing left of the monument. Lately, new archaeological discoveries are taking place here. 

   • Drop-off at your hotel, airport or station.
