Sioux Lookout tour guides have so much to recommend to any outdoor adventurer. Visitors flock to the town from spring through summer to enjoy fishing, hunting, canoeing, kayaking, boating, camping, and swimming. The 5,000 residents of Sioux City look forward to the annual 10 day Blueberry Festival at the beginning of August. For those who enjoy seclusion, Sioux Lookout is a starting point for many fly-in or boat-in outposts, popular for fishing and hunting parties.
Winters bring in temperatures that fluctuate wildly, but the borealis, or dancing lights put up a spectacular show. The Sioux Lookout Golf and Curling Club that offers golfing in full swing in the summers, hosts the sport of curling through fall and winter. Visitors, welcomed by a few resorts and lodges that stay open year-round, can ice fish, snowmobile or cross-country ski to their hearts’ content.
