Women as thought in FEZ CITY

Many tourists have asked me whether there is a concept of a harem in Fez. As it is known, it is the lust behind the discovery of women in Fez. I always respond kindly that women in Fez are not to be targeted as harem. They are self-independent, reliable, work for themselves, and they choose their own path. They attend good schools, including reputable ones abroad, and they enjoy a prestigious societal status. It is no wonder that women founded the city of Fez. Everyone knows about Fatima or Eto, the Berber coming from Tunisia in the past, and what she built: the University of Karaouine, a name that is also common in Tunisia. Many ethnic groups appreciate the texture of Fassi women and all work hard to provide for their families needs and to educate their children, as well as their men. Women are now the most prominent workforce globally. Fez is a city where women enjoy the most prestigious jobs. Men, on the contrary, travel abroad or migrate to find better opportunities. As we know, as the world has shrunk, ethnology and cultures are endangered, as well as fundamental concepts of the essentials of life. So, it is our job, as tour guides, to be ambassadors of our heritage and to know more about the subject matter. I am a polyglot tour guide and certified cultural educator from the University of Iceland via EDX.org. I believe that tourism is a thriving industry that will never die, even though we faced difficulties during the pandemic era. I also believe that travellers are ambassadors of the world, and that, together with guides, we help ensure good and fair global gender vibes.
