The government recognizes tourism as an important means of achieving socioeconomic development but has adopted a very cautious approach to its growth and development. Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB)

Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) is a very high-level commission body managed by the council of ministers from various Government agencies. Besides helping the

government to promote Bhutan as an exclusive travel destination based on Gross National Happiness (GNH) Values, TCB is responsible for developing and promoting the tourism industry. It formulates tourism policies, plans, and programs, implements relevant policies, laws, and regulations.

Guide Association of Bhutan (GAB)


Guide Association of Bhutan (GAB) is a non-profit, Mutual Benefit Organization established to empower and professionalize tour guides and the guiding profession in the country. The Association works towards the objectives of bringing all guides under one roof to develop a sense of friendship, fellowship, and professionalism. It renders a common platform for guides to voice out their grievances and setbacks that undermine the image and shared interests.


Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO)

ABTO


Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO) is the recognized representative of the tour operators in Bhutan. It is the mutual and official voice of all Bhutanese tour operators who constitute its primary membership. It is also an institution representing and protecting the collective interests of the tourism industry in the country. ABTO has been responsive and effective in representing shared concerns as well as in promoting interests of all tour operators.


Hotel and Restaurant Association of Bhutan (HRAB)


Hotel and Restaurant Association of Bhutan (HRAB) is a federation of HOTELS and Restaurants from all over the country. Members range from restaurants to small family-owned properties to major convention hotels. It is a non-profit, apolitical, mutual benefit organization formed in September 2007 by a group of enthusiastic hoteliers. The way forward is to unite all hotels, restaurants and tourist accommodations in the country into one common body, and endeavor to promote tourism on a sustainable and long term perspectives
