First, I would like to introduce Tanzania. Tanzania is a country found in East Africa, covering an area of more than 945,087 sq km. It is one of the 55 countries in Africa. Currently, Tanzania has 22 national parks, each with distinct and varied attractions. Being favoured by the highest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and the land divided by the Great Rift Valley, both arms of the Rift traverse the land. In the east, we have the Gregory Rift Passage, and in the west, the Albertine Rift. Tanzania is also covered with most of the East African Great Lakes, with Lake Victoria being the biggest, and 51% of the lake being part of Tanzania. Tanzania was formerly called German East Africa from 1891 to 1919, then Tanganyika from 1920 to 1961, and finally, Tanzania from 1964.

The name Tanzania comes from the unification of Tanganyika and Zanzibar in 1964. This is one of the best travel destinations in the world, favoured for wildlife, culture and traditions, landscapes and landmarks, historical sites, World Heritage Sites, and pristine beaches. With more than 126 tribes, one can visit Tanzania for wildlife safaris, mountain climbing, beach holidays, mountain and escarpment hiking, cultural tours, boat and canoeing in the Great Lakes, and much more.

tourHQ will enable you to explore Tanzania. Having the experience of exploring Tanzania with some of the best guides who know the history and sights and sounds of Tanzania. When travelling in Tanzania, we recommend travellers go up north to uncover the Maasai culture. It will inspire them, and with time, visit the Datoga and Hadzabe Bushman in Lake Eyasi. On the coast, one will also explore the Swahili culture with time.

There are many attractions, depending on the interest of the traveller. For wildlife travel, the pillar will be Serengeti National Park, famous for its Great Migration and sighting of the Big Five. Serengeti National Park will inspire any traveller, be it in the dry or wet season. It is recommended for a traveller with time to have a minimum stay of three days to explore the Serengeti Ecosystem. Also, Ngorongoro Crater is another exciting landmark, with its unique outlook and the presence of the Big Five, adding value. Manyara National Park, within the bounds of the Albertine Rift, is a good park for wildlife and birdlife. Lake Manyara covers more than 40% of the park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and being a prominent site for Paleartic Birds Flyway and Breeding Ground. In the months of April and May, many Paleartic Migrant Birds reach here for breeding. Another park is Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant population and vegetation, with lots of baobab trees and scenic views of the floor of the Rift Valley. Arusha National Park, at the base of Mount Meru, is a park that is green year-round, with the seven lakes of Momella, a prominent site for flamingos in the dry season. Ngurudoto Crater is an attraction found in Arusha National Park. Also, the climbing and descent of Mount Meru are done from this park. There are walking trails for walking safaris in this park. Mt. Kilimanjaro is among the major attractions of Tanzania. It takes a six to five-day climbing expedition, and there are six climbing routes. Normally, the Marangu Route is more favoured, having huts at all stations. The other five routes are camping routes with camping sites in the climbing stations. There are day-trip hikes in all six base camps in Kilimanjaro. One can visit waterfalls, and caves, and do a cultural tour of the villages at the base camps. There are many waterfalls, but the famous ones are Materuni Waterfalls, Kinukamori Waterfalls, Ndoro Waterfalls, and Kilasia Waterfalls. Normally, the east is green, and the west of Kilimanjaro is dry, referring to the windward and leeward sides of the mountain. Kilimanjaro is not only favoured by mountain climbers but also by sightseers and explorers. There is much to explore in the culture and traditions of the local tribe, the Chagga Tribe.

For hikers, I would propose a visit to the Eastern and Western Arc Ranges. In the Eastern Arc Ranges, one can explore Lushoto, Usambara, and Amani, and with time, visit a travel gem, Mkomazi National Park. It is a park where one can experience the closest ever game drive to the black rhinos. It is the park with the greatest chances of seeing the black rhino at close range in Africa. You will have a chance to sight rhinos at close range than any other park in Tanzania and particularly East Africa. There is good wildlife and birdlife viewing.

For beach holidays, we would recommend Zanzibar and Pemba Island. The area is favoured by some of the best beach sites on the East African coastline, with rich history, spice tours, and lots of exciting sites to see. Currently, Zanzibar and Pemba offer the best for tourists visiting, leaving one with a lifetime memory.

I would also like to recommend for travellers with time to visit our historical sites, Olduvai Gorge in Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. We also have Laetoli Footprints in Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Other sites of interest are Kilwa Kisiwani, Kilwa Masoko, and Songo Mnara historical sites.

Areas like Lake Natron will fascinate many travellers, being a major breeding ground for the flamingoes, the presence of the great soda lake, footprints, waterfalls, and the active volcano Oldonyo Lengai Mountain. One can climb this mountain from Natron and also experience the Maasai culture in the area.

There are many attractions that one can see and visit in Tanzania. A traveller with information is like a bird with wings. One can explore Tanzania and its many interesting and thrilling sites that will leave one with a lifetime memory.
