“As a tour guide in Saudi Arabia, particularly in Riyadh, I’ve had the privilege of creating unforgettable memories for my guests. One of the most beautiful moments was during a desert tour, where I organized a traditional Bedouin-style dinner under the stars. The guests were amazed by the serene atmosphere, the warmth of the campfire, and the storytelling about Saudi heritage. They later told me it was the most magical night of their trip.

Another memorable experience was introducing a group of international visitors to Saudi coffee traditions. Watching their excitement as they tried making the coffee themselves and learning about the rituals behind it reminded me of the joy in sharing our culture.

Of course, not every moment is without its challenges. Once, a guest accidentally left their passport in a remote location during a day trip. While it was stressful at first, we managed to retrieve it quickly, and the guest was deeply appreciative of our efforts.

“One of the most heartwarming experiences I’ve had as a tour guide was introducing my guests to the local community in a small village near Abha, planing to eat our breakfast there. We visited a traditional family home, where the hosts welcomed us and shared stories of their daily life. The guests were thrilled to participate in making Mifa bread (a traditional Saudi bread), learning not only the recipe but the stories behind it. We  prepare also Areka a traditional  Saudi southern dish, It was a moment of connection and authenticity that deeply moved everyone.

Another memorable occasion was during a cultural festival in Riyadh. I took my group to a traditional souq, where they interacted with local artisans and learned the craft of weaving Sadu textiles. One of the guests ended up buying a handmade rug and told me later it was the most meaningful souvenir they had ever purchased, as they got to see the entire process firsthand and meet the artisan behind it.

In a more adventurous experience, I arranged for my guests to join a group of local shepherds in Al Ula a desert area to learn about traditional herding practices, They milked the camel and the goat themselves. The guests were fascinated by the simplicity and resilience of this way of life and shared tea  & Saudi coffee with the shepherds while hearing stories of their daily routines.

Moments like these, where my guests truly live the culture alongside the local community, are what make every tour special. These interactions often leave both the visitors and the locals with lasting impressions and newfound appreciation for one another.”

Every journey has its unique stories—some touching, others amusing—but all contribute to the rewarding experience of connecting people with the beauty and authenticity of Saudi Arabia.”
