Best Time To Visit The Taj

The best time to visit the Taj Mahal is during the early summer, between March to June. The most preferable time would be early morning when there will be fewer people, and the temperature will be cooler.  Avoid going in winter since fog may obscure your view. Monday to Thursday are the most suitable days to avoid the rush. The monument remains closed on Friday.

The Taj Mahal is also available for night watching every full moon from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am, also two days after and before the full moon (total 5 days).

The Charges Of Ticket

Whereas for foreigners, it is INR 1100, which means they are provided with water bottles, a golf cart or bus service, a map of Agra and a pair of shoe covers (once you reach inside the monument, you are supposed to be barefooted).

Things That You Are Allowed To Carry Inside

The monument witnesses tight security. Big bags and gadgets like tripods, chargers, eatables, cigarettes, and tobacco are prohibited. In case you have brought them with you, they can be deposited in the locker rooms that are present there.

All that you can take along with you is your mobile phone, camera, and your water bottle.

Different Gates Of The Taj
