The Museum of Contemporary Art in Niteroi (abv. OMC) is a museum located in the city of Niterói, state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Designed by the architect Oscar Niemeyer, the MAC has become one of the postcards of Niterói. It is intended primarily to works pertaining to contemporary art, all dated to the course of the twentieth century. Presents from art to abstract works depicting the illusion of the Brazilian monarchy. The museum has a collection of 1,217 works of John Sattamini Collection. A joint meeting since the 1950s by collector John Sattamini, the second largest collection of contemporary art in Brazil. 
Located on the Mirante da Boa Viagem, Niteroi on the edge of the museum with its futuristic facade allows the visitor to enjoy panoramic views that you want to offer outside the museum, from the patio or inside the museum for a look at ring windows that divides this gigantic plate of concrete on two tracks. 
The MAC also offers educational activities within other since 1996, called Communicative Challenges of Contemporary Art, in order, according to museum administration, to encourage the "contemporary artistic production, which stands exposed in a public space where individuals circulate outside the art world.
