In winter season Russian people eat a lot of soups, especially our main one – the Borch soup, which includes beet, cabbage, carrot and often beans, we eat it with sour cream. Then we eat a lot of citrus fruits to stay healthy. By the way, many people are trying to avoid sugar and coffee and replace it with Topinambur and Chicory. But if you really love sweets you can try Quince and Persimmon that come from the south of Russia and closest ex-USSR countries.

After the long and cold winter, we like bears need to wake up and get some vitamins, so it is time for tasty and fresh salads. In may you need to be very fast and grab your own portion of wild strawberry on local markets because it doesn't stay for a long time. One cup of these berries will give you enough vitamins for the whole year! And don't forget about Cilantro, you can try it in Lobio (hot red beans with tomatoes) or any other Georgian food, it is delicious, believe me.
