The "Big Five" is a term historically used to refer to the five most challenging animals to hunt on foot in Africa. These animals are the lion, elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros. However, it's important to note that rhinoceroses are not native to Uganda, so the term "Big Five" is not commonly used to describe wildlife in Uganda. The Big Five animals in Uganda are:

African Elephant: The African Elephant is the largest land animal and can be found in various national parks in Uganda, such as Murchison Falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park.

African Lion: The African Lion is a majestic predator and is found in Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park. It is the king of the African savannah.

African Buffalo: The African Buffalo, also known as the Cape buffalo, is a robust and formidable animal found in several parks in Uganda, including Murchison Falls National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park.

African Leopard: The African Leopard is a highly elusive and agile big cat. While it is challenging to spot, it can be found in some areas of Uganda, including Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kidepo Valley National Park.

Rhinoceros: Although Uganda used to be home to both black and white rhinoceros, the white rhinoceros is currently extinct in the wild in the country. However, efforts are underway to reintroduce rhinoceros populations, and it is hoped that they will thrive once again in Uganda.
