Rhododendron Trek can be defined as Freedom and Paradise Trek. It is a newly opened trekking route in Annapurna Region of Nepal, and offers a great opportunity to explore Nepal's diverse rhododendron forest and amazing mountains views of Dhaulagiri; Annapurna-I / II / III; Annapurna south; Holy Mountains Fishtail (Machhapuchhare); Lamjung Himal; Hiuchuli; and Manaslu massive. It also offers wide landscaped pastureland, farmland, and more.
The region gives trekkers an opportunity to observe ethnic people, their culture, lifestyle, freedom as well.
Rhododendron trek has maximum altitude of 3300 meter and minimum altitude of 827 meter. It not only offers rhododendron and mountain views, but also provides the chance of visiting Pokhara city, boating on Phewa lake, enjoying Sarangkot sunrise, paragliding, International mountain museum sightseeing and more. All these can also be combined with the Chitwan and Lumbini tour if travelers are interested as well as with Annapurna Base camp, Khopra, and Mardi Himal.
Rhododendron blossom months are from March and April. Treks during this time allow climbers to enjoy this wonderful sight, surrounded by picturesque mountains views.
December to January are coldest months but weather is very clear from time to time. June to August months are monsoon season in Nepal.This is easy trek possible for all ages. Lodges are good during the trek and wifi available.
