What to Expect on the Tour
Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21 Prison)
The tour begins at Tuol Sleng, also known as S-21, a former high school that was transformed into a notorious prison during the Khmer Rouge era. Here, thousands of prisoners were interrogated, tortured, and forced to confess to crimes they never committed before being sent to the killing fields. After visiting S-21, we travel 15 km south of Phnom Penh to the Choeung Ek Killing Fields. This site was one of the many mass execution sites used by the Khmer Rouge. Today, it serves as a memorial, with a stupa filled with the skulls of victims, marking the scale of the genocide. Walking through this solemn place, you will hear stories of resilience and survival while paying tribute to those who lost their lives.
