The short, best and easy trekking in Nepal. Spend four days trekking in the foothills of Annapurna with a  combination to see the natural and cultural wonders of Annapurna. Starts from Pokhara, the city of lakes and then the trail gradually climbs up to Ghorepani. Further, it will take you to Poon Hill, one of the best sunrise view points to see the snow-capped mountains.

Best seasons/months to trek Ghorepani Poon Hill


  • Spring- March to May – Among them, April is the best as the flower’s blooms in plenty.

  • Autumn- September to November- October is regarded as the best month for the mountain views.

  • Winter- December to February- December is a fine month to trek, but there might be snow along the way in the month of January and February. Still, trekking is doable in this month too.

  • Monsoon- June to August- In the months of early June, it is doable but during July and August, it is not recommended due to the heavy rain.


Teahouses/Hotels/Lodges availability

  • During the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek, there are good teahouses available with greater facilities of good food, hot shower, WIFI, warm blankets and electricity to charge the gadgets.


Walking time

  • Every day, the trekkers will be trekking for about four to six hours.


Altitude

  • The maximum altitude a trekker will get to climb during the trekking is about 3,210 meters above sea level at Poon Hill. And during the trekking, the AMS is very rare.


Permits

  • Every trekker is needed to issue two permits for the trekking. ACAP- US$ 30 (Annapurna Conversation Area Permit) and TIMS- US$ 10 (Trekkers Information Management System) Cards.


Guide/Porter Hiring

  • A trekker can hire guides/porters, either in Kathmandu or in Pokhara.


Nayapul Transportation

  • There are two transportation ways -private vehicle or public buses that are available for Pokhara to Nayapul and Nayapul to Pokhara.
