Taj Mahal might be everyone’s favourite, but I am in love with Fatehpur Sikri. This cultural heritage place has something very special to offer to everyone. The positive vibes I get here are incomparable to any other place. I will give all the credits to Sheikh Salim Chisti Dargah, which makes me visit this place again and again. It gives me a peace that I can’t find anywhere. I have visited this historical monument earlier but I always come here whenever I get a chance.
It was the first time when I and my best went for a trip together. We wanted it to be a memorable experience. We planned it very nicely by booking a tour for a comfortable and hassle-free trip. It was our third day ofGolden Triangle Tour and definitely the best one for me.

Buland Darwaza
This highest gateway in the world is about 53 m high and 35 meters wide with 42 approaching steps. This beautiful architecture is made of red and blue sandstone with thirteen carved smaller domed kiosks on the roof of the structure. Buland Darwaza is decorated with carving and inlaying of white and black marble that makes it more attractive.
Jama Masjid
Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques in India. It has an attractive entrance gate made of ebony. Inside the masjid, it has beautiful coloured flower murals, one of the finest marble jalis and the sandalwood canopy, which is decorated with the mother-of-pearl shell. There are graves of Sufi Saint Shaikh Salim Chisti’s family members at the right. This mosque has an admirable architecture with very fine details.
Sheikh Salimuddin Chisti Dargah-
This is definitely my first reason to visit Fatehpur Sikri again and again. I strongly believe that the Dargah of Sheikh Salimuddin Chisti Dargah has something to offer to each of its visitors. This place makes me believe in myself and keep my hopes alive, therefore I just love to be here. I and my friend tied threads on this lattice-work, hoping that our wishes come true. I might be superstitious, but it is my faith that makes me want to do it. The local singers of this village made our visit even more beautiful with their heartwarming folk and Sufi Qawwalis. This place is my escape from the world and gives me the feeling of self-realization.
The other places that we explored are Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Panch Mahal, Palace of Dreams and more.

The other things that we found really attractive at Fatehpur Sikri were marble inlay showpieces, Embroidered designs on shiny cloth, Naan Khataai (a type of sweet cookie) and accessories.
