Puerto Natales town is the gate to get into the Torres del Paine National Park. With a population of 20 thousand inhabitants this town is always expecting lots of tourist during the summer season (September to April), and recently also a few more in winter (May to August).

If you travel with time will be always great to spend a day, one or two, in Puerto Natales. Lots of good bars and restaurants are waiting for all the thirsty hikers and beautiful waterfront along the Ultima esperanza sound is a perfect plan to have a chill walk. 

The Museum and the handicraft market are also a good plan to get in touch with local people and their culture.

Torres del Paine National Park is at 70 miles (112 km) away from Puerto Natales (1 1/2 hour drive).

Puerto Natales is located at 153 miles (247 km) northwest of Punta Arenas city (3 hours by bus).

Punta Arenas is 3 hours and 30 minutes fly from/to Santiago (non-stop).

Puerto Natales is 4 hours fly from/to Santiago (non-stop).
