This is my very first blog and I intend to use this space to tell people who are interested in my experiences while doing tours in and around my city.

This week was my first walking tour of my city and I had a couple visiting from the UK. This is not one of the easiest tours as it involves sharing a lot of history and specific information on statues and places of interest along the way. One has to deal with the elements (it was a steaming hot day +/- 30 degrees Celsius) and you have to navigate through road construction work and everyday commuters on the streets and shopping malls. Nevertheless I enjoy doing this tour and hope to take many more people on this route in the future.

Being my first tour I was obviously nervous and neglected to share some info and also got mixed up a little with some of the dates, but it will definitely improve as I do this more often. I was asked questions, and not knowing some, I called one of my lectures after the tour and got some answers. This can only enhance the tour to share some of this info with future clients.

Watch this space to hear more about my other trips as I do them.
