The Bali Bird Park & Reptile Park is a one-of-a-kind and educational family attraction. It offers a leisurely stroll through a rich collection of approximately 1,000 unique birds from all across the Indonesian archipelago and from around the world, with 2 hectares of exquisite tropical gardens.
In the stunning aviaries and individual cages, see hundreds of different bird species. On open tree perches and in the interconnecting ponds around the park grounds, a variety of species coexist and travel freely. The adjacent Reptile Park has horticultural gardens with a wide variety of reptile and amphibian specimens. A large Komodo dragon, as well as pythons, lizards, geckos, toads, frogs, turtles, tortoises, and crocodiles, are on show.
Bali Bird and Reptile Park's Attraction
In each of their separate enclosures, you may get up close and personal with a variety of tame birds from various species, as well as examine rare and exotic collections.
Each enclosure and aviary contain an information panel that lists the specimen's common and scientific names, origin and species, as well as descriptions that assist you in learning more about the birds.
Visitors can marvel at the traits and talents of some of the collection's birds of prey and other wildlife in the Free Flight Bird Show. To the delight of the audience, magnificent eagles, owls, and macaws swoop through the air, dive down at mock prey, and seize food from their handlers.
You can actively participate in the park's daily feeding routines thanks to an interactive feeding time feature. Greater birds of paradise feed around you, and spectacular flycatchers perform aerobatics as you feed them, as the keepers reproduce the bird's natural feeding area.
The bird park's '4D Avian Theatre' experience, which shows the animation feature Reilly's Sky Adventure, is an engaging highlight for families. The story follows a bunch of migratory ducks and the heartwarming but risky journey of baby Reilly the duck, and his family on their first winter trip south.
General Information about Bali Bird Park
One of the park's aims, along with the ornithologists on staff, is to breed endangered birds in captivity in order to conserve their species. This includes the native Bali myna (Leucopsar Rothschild), also known as 'Jalak Bali' by locals.
The Hatchling Area at Bali Bird Park displays a variety of specimens in their early stages after hatching, juvenile stages, and mature stages. Over 40 protected species, including rare parrot species, are bred in the park.
At Bali Bird Park & Reptile Park, there are snacks and a safe environment.
There are food, snack, drink, and ice cream kiosks inside both the bird and reptile parks, as well as a picture shop that prints digital photos on T-shirts. Souvenirs and items, as well as rare traditional Balinese fabrics and numerous curios, are sold at a gift store.
The Bali Bird Park has a strong biosecurity system in place, which is a preventive measure put in place to ensure the safety of the park's bird collection, workers, and visitors. Since its inception in 1995, it has been shown to be beneficial. Visitors' arms and bodies are initially sprayed with safe solutions by personnel when entering and departing the park grounds, and disinfectant footbaths are located at each entrance.
