Bale Mountains National Park
Bale Mountains National Park, located in the southeastern part of Ethiopia within the Oromia Regional Government State, is a natural habitat serving as home to various species of mammals including the endemics Mountain Nyala, Red Fox, Giant Mole Rat, and the Bale Monkey. Also, the park is almost entirely covered by numerous plant species and indigenous trees, like the Hygenia Abyssinica and Erica Arboreta.
The park covers an area of 2150 km² with a long and wide mountain range rising from 3000 to 4377 meters above sea level. These high peak mountains, the vegetation, and the wildlife; all in all sum up together to make the park a beautiful and an adventurous place to get involved in some trekking activities available for a duration of 3 to 20 days.
