2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19) Travel Updates
Travellers could be concerned and have many questions on how COVID-19 impacts their impending travel plans or for those who have been planning to travel soon. We are here to assist you to have a better understanding of how the COVID-19 outbreak may or may not interrupt your immediate or forthcoming travel plans. At the moment, everything is normal and under control and Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan tours have been kept on hold until further information from the respective country officials. With an exception to certain regions that have been declared unsafe to travel by the WHO concerning COVID-19 outbreak such as China, Iran, South Korea, Japan, Iran and Italy, all our trips in the Nepal Himalayas are continuing to operate.
Regarding Your Booked Trips:
As per the recent notice released by the officials in Nepal, the on-arrival visa has been suspended till 30th June 2020 which came into effect from twelve hours at midnight of 14th March 2020. You have to obtain a pre-arrival visa from Embassy of Nepal after presenting a swab test PCR health certificate. With all the necessary requirements, if you can make it to the beginning of your trip, the trips will proceed just as planned. As Nepal has not imposed any travel bans, you can make it here with a pre-visas and medical certificate.
Medical Assistance and Expenses:
Each travel insurer has different policies when it comes to covering the medical charges. Please look into your insurance policy carefully and contact your provider and stay alert on what is and what is not included in your policy.
